Woodrow Wilson Elementary Tour - November 2013
The third graders from Woodrow Wilson Elementary and their teachers: Mrs. Wheeler, Mrs. Nicely, and Mrs. Hayes. During their tour, the students gathered information about various inventions for their upcoming projects. They also made ornaments and decorated the museum's Christmas tree.
Cub Scout Tour - October 2013
Pack 138
Recently four Cub Scouts representing Pack 138 stepped back in time as they toured the Greene County Museum. They seemed fascinated by the historical artifacts. Shawn Fulco shared his thoughts on early life in Greene County when he said, "It sure looked like a bunch of hard work back then."
Special Millinery Exhibit - September thru November 2013
A variety of ladies' hats from the 1920's to the 1970's were on display in the new exhibit gallery.
Guests revisited the ladies fashion trends of yesterday. In the past, the well-dressed ladies in Paragould and Greene County wore hats and usually gloves to church and various social functions. The local stores featured hat departments. There was even a millinery store downtown.

Hudson donates Mural painting
Artist Joshua Hudson's painting was recently selected to be the new mural for downtown Paragould. On June 8, Hudson donated his painting to the museum. It is proudly displayed in the Futrell gallery.

Bettye Busby's 80th Birthday - December 2012
Bettye Busby recently celebrated her 80th birthday at the Greene County Museum. She said, "It was a pleasure to celebrate my special day with approximately 85 family members and friends." With a big smile, she said she would do it again on her 90th birthday.
Busby is one of the original founders of the Greene County Museum. Since its beginning, she has served as the museum coordinator and as a member of the Board of Directors.

A proclamation was signed by Mayor Mike Gaskill making May 6-12 Genealogical Week in Paragould. The week culminated with a Heritage Fair.
The Greene County Historical and Genealogical Society, the Greene County Museum and the Paragould Public Library teamed up to offer the public an interesting day in rich history. The museum hosted tours of the museum's galleries and distributed Paragould History Trail information in conjunction with the day's events.

Coordinator and executive board member Bettye Busby was recently featured in the Paragould Personalities section of the Paragould Daily Press. The article, Busby leads way in preserving local history, was written by Tylee Tracer. The article highlights some of the work that Bettye has done over the years to preserve our community's history.

David Pratt featured in Premiere Magazine - July 2011

Executive board member David Pratt was recently featured in Paragould's Premiere magazine. The article, Preserving History: One Piece at a Time, was written by Karole Risker. It showcases the extensive collection of military items that David has acquired over the years. Some of the items include uniforms, documents, furniture, weapons, field gear and restored military vehicles.
Multiple pieces of his collection are currently on display in the museum.

Arkansas History Quilt Presentation - June 2011
After their study of Arkansas history, Woodrow Wilson elementary students presented a quilt they had made to the Greene County Museum. Several K-4 students used colored pencils to color various pictures of Arkansas, including the state flag, the state bird, pine trees, and diamonds. The quilt is currently on display at the museum.
